Ever since I had to give an introduction to the film The Grapes of Wrath while still a student, I have loved John Steinbeck's books more and more. So I started to buy his books. First translated in Dutch, but I wanted to read the original words John Steinbeck had written so many years ago. I therefore started collecting all the titles in the original language. Some books were easy to find, others took some time. I discovered that paperbacks from the forties, fifties and sixties had these beautiful 'pulp' covers, which seemed to be more suited for romantic novels or, even 'worse', erotic books... These paperbacks became my main focus, I started collecting these covers (with the rest of the book still attached of course). And I naturally couldn't resist a first edition when I could get my hands on one at a decent price...
In this blog I will show my Steinbeck collection, and I will keep it up-to-date with all the new additions...
